Candise Haspel

Candise M. Haspel, age 42, of Richville , MN , died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 , at Lake Region Hospital , Fergus Falls , MN .


Candise Mae “Candy” (Erickson) Haspel was born August 16, 1966 , in Fergus Falls , MN , the daughter of Clinton and Margaret (Fithen) Erickson. Candy attended the Perham schools graduating from Perham High School in 1984. On September 1, 1984 , she was united in marriage to Mark Haspel. Together they had one son, Steven, in 1988.



Candy had health issues from a young age and took life one day at a time and lived it to the fullest. She loved to be with family and friends and treated neighbor children like her own. Candy loved to work at the Richville Church Mission and had also worked at the Otter Tail Nursing Home, the Perham Nursing Home, and Woody’s Blue Horizon. Candy was admitted into MeritCare in Fargo , ND , in July 2007 and then into the Pioneer Nursing Home in December 2007. While at the Pioneer Nursing Home she enjoyed visiting with other residents and took up many craft projects such as building bird houses and most recently, knitting.



Candy is survived by her husband, Mark, Richville , MN ; son, Steven, Richville , MN ; parents, Clinton and Margaret Erickson, Richville , MN ; and a brother, William Erickson, Richville , MN .



Preceding Candy in death are her grandparents, Art and Clara Erickson; Marion and May Fithen; and Glenn and Mabel Yepsen; and two uncles, Ken and Mervin Erickson.
