Betty Boedigheimer

August 30, 1921 — April 23, 2004

Funeral services for Elizabeth "Betty" Laverne Boedigheimer, age 82, of Perham, MN, will be Monday, April 26, 2004, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham, with Reverend David Rieder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2004, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Betty died Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home.



Betty was born August 30, 1921, the daughter of Mandus and Della (Ohman) Haglund, in Battle Lake, MN. She was raised and attended school in Deer Creek, MN, graduating in 1939 from Deer Creek High School. On February 1, 1941, Betty was united in marriage to Andrew John "Jack" Boedigheimer, in Perham. They made their home in Perham, where Betty was a homemaker and, later, worked at Perham Drug and Ben Franklin. She operated a licensed day care, "Betty's Day Care", in Perham, until the age of 80 years. Betty was an excellent cook and always enjoyed family, friends and "her" kids.



Surviving Betty are three sons, Daniel (Linda) Boedigheimer, of Perham, MN, Patrick (Sheryl) Boedigheimer, of Anoka, MN, and Rick Boedigheimer, of Perham, MN; two daughters, Jean (Don) Brown, of Salem, Indiana and Rita (Mark) Salisbury, of White Fish, MT; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Marjorie Tetens, of Circle Pines, MN; one brother, Bill (Norma) Haglund, of Circle Pines, MN and her daughter-in-law, Jean Boedigheimer, of Champlain, MN.



Preceding Betty in death are her parents; her husband, Jack, February 7, 1970; one son, Mike and three brothers, Robert, Ken and Don.
