Arnold “Butch” L. Landgren, age 75 of Perham, MN died on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home.
Arnold was born March 25, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from high school in Detroit Lakes, MN he entered the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1971. He lived in Florida and worked for the forestry department and after he retired from there, he moved to Detroit Lakes. He worked for Jennie O turkey and Arvig before driving for Medi-van.
Arnold enjoyed playing bingo with friends and family along with trips to the casino and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Detroit Lakes.
Arnold is survived by his wife DeeAnn, Frazee, MN; son Arnold “Micha” (Jenny) of Miami, FL; stepdaughter Cheryl Peterson, Frazee; Cousin Larraine Anderson, Detroit Lakes; and special friends Jan Jarbor and Cindy Ohman-DeWitt. Arnold was preceded in death by his mother Betty (Bailey) Landgren, Father Arnold Landgren and stepson Robert Krause.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the American Legion in Detroit Lakes on Sunday, November 14 from 2-4 p.m. Arnold will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
