Anne Watermulen

Funeral services for Anne E. Van Watermulen, age 91, of Perham, MN, will be Friday, December 17, 2004, beginning at 11 am, at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Perham. Reverend David Rieder will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, rural Perham. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2004, with a prayer service at 8: 00 p.m. Ann died Monday, December 13, 2004, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home.



Ann was born the daughter of Harry and Veronica (Van Velzen) Hofland, in Butler, MN, on May 27, 1913. She attended country school in Butler. In 1936, Anne was united in marriage to Charles Van Watermulen. Together, they farmed in the Butler area. In 1947, they moved to California, eventually returning to Butler, and then to Perham. Anne enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, fishing and baking. She was known as the "pie baker."



Surviving Anne are her children, Larry (Sharon), Perham, MN, Gearld (Sue), Perham, MN, Adeline (Lawrence) Dykhoff, Perham, MN, Julie Malikowski, Dent, MN, Leonard (Betty), Dent, MN, Leona (Mike) Loerzel, Perham, MN, Marion (Merle) Thompson, Perham, MN, Tony (Renee), Perham, MN, Ed (Bee), Perham, MN, Kenny (Roxanne), Perham, MN, Yvonne (Larry) Hennen, Motley, MN, and Allen (Marianne), Perham, MN; forty-eight grandchildren and seventy-eight great-grandchildren.



Preceding Anne in death is one son, Dennis, in 1986.
