Andrew William Frampton, 51, was welcomed into heaven on February 13, 2024 after a brief, brave battle with cancer.
He was born in Englewood, Colorado on July 17, 1972 to David and Marty Frampton. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1991, where he excelled on the baseball field. Andy found his professional calling while attending Colorado State University, going on to earn his Master's Degree in Food Science at the University of Illinois.
Ottertail Lake in Minnesota proved to be Andy's most happy place. He enjoyed the endless days of fishing, waterskiing, swimming and creating chaos with his beloved cousins. Throughout his life these Ottertail summers with family expanded, as Andy became a father and was now sharing this love of the lake with two children of his own. The water continued to draw him to Ottertail, so much so that he bought the family cabin, eventually making it his permanent address, where the growth chart on the wall still holds memories with Havanah and Brody climbing up the chart each year.
Andrew had an ability to craft and create amazing art, with paper and pencil, on a canvas, with clay or carving wood. His last finished piece was a pencil drawing of his father and great niece, which he took incredible time with, wanting to create the perfect portrait for his father. An avid lover of fresh air and nature, he loved to fish, golf, bike and hike near Ottertail Lake and growing up in Colorado provided ample time to enjoy his love for nature; snowboarding, skateboarding and enjoying the outdoors.
A successful career in the food science industry led him to leadership positions at Now Food, Nature's Way, Nordic Naturals and most recently, he was excited and honored to dig into a new chapter at KLN Family Brands in Perham, MN, developing nutritional supplements. Always wanting to help and give to others, this career path fit perfectly.
In January of 2023, Andrew met Leslie Anderson and the two shared a brief conversation. The following weeks a friendship developed and soon they knew they had found what they'd always been looking for. A wedding took place at the lake in July, 2023 and the marriage they shared was better than they could have ever imagined. God brought two people together and made the best team of them. Although short in duration, it was filled with countless blessings, laughter, encouragement and appreciation for each other.
Andrew is survived by his biggest fan, his wife Leslie. His children he was so incredibly proud of, daughter Havanah and son Brody, parents David and Marty Frampton, brother Rick (Mary) Frampton, nieces Kayla Frampton and Ashley Barden (Nathan), and great niece, Payton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins he loved dearly.
Services for Andy will take place on Monday, February 19, at Buffalo Covenant Church, 1601 MN-25, in Buffalo, MN. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
