Alvina Ellenberg

Funeral services for Alvina Anna Ellenberg, age 92, of Perham, MN, will be Monday, January 12, 2004, beginning at 11:00 a.m, at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Perham.. Burial will follow in the Gorman Township Cemetery, rural Perham, MN. Visitation at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, is Sunday, January 11, 2004, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Alvina died Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at the Frazee Care Center, Frazee.



Alvina was born in Evergreen Township, Becker County, MN, August 3, 1911, the daughter of Ernest and Mathilda (Wetzke) Bahls. She was united in marriage to Fred Ellenberg on September 30, 1930. They farmed in Gorman Township until 1960. She worked at the Shell Station in Perham as a cook for several years. Alvina enjoyed gardening, canning, and flowers.



Surviving Alvina is one son, Eldred Ellenberg, of Perham, MN; one daughter, Delores (Calvin) Mayfield, of Frazee, MN; thirteen grandchildren; fifty-five great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Rueben Bahls, of Vergas, MN.



Preceding Alvina in death are her parents; husband, Fred, in 1970; great-grandson, Jeremy Mayfield; three sisters, Gertrude, Bertha, and Dorothy; two brothers, Victor and Adolph.
